Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Valley City, North Dakota.
Department: Unit Med-Tele Acute/Obs and Swingbed. Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS. NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT. # of Beds: 19. Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:3-6. Common diagnoses include pneumonia, rehab, COPD, CHF, pancreatitis, GI bleed. Experience or 'Must have' skills: IV starts, telemetry, NG, Foley insertion. Required experience: 1 year. Previous travel experience: No. Do RNs titrate drips? No. Common titratable/set rate drips: N/A. Charge Nurse on each shift? No. Charge nurse assignment? N/A. Nurse aides/patient care techs? Yes, one CNA per shift handles personal cares, vitals, weights. RT Equipment: Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc. RNs must set up and troubleshoot Bipap, Cpap, HFNC. RT techs on unit? No. Read own strips? Yes. Monitor brand: Mindray. Shifts & scheduling: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, team scheduling. Self-scheduling or block? Possible. Weekend & holiday requirements: Every other. Call or standby? No. Call response time: N/A. Floating units: Med/Tele Acute/Obs/Swingbed. Experience required for units: Medical, Tele. Scrub color/dress code: Own scrubs of any color. Orientation shifts: Typically 3-4 12-hour shifts. Additional notes: RNs may be part of the code team. The floor values dependability, caring, knowledge, and flexibility. Radius rule: 50 miles.
