Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights, 6:30-7
Float Requirement: first to float within skill set, 2 hour notice for cross campus float

Requirements

No local candidates (40-mile radius rule)
Contract length: 13 weeks
Start: 5/4 or 5/18 – bi-weekly orientation
Guaranteed hours: 36 (will accept 48s upon request)
OT will go into effect after 52hrs on 48hr contracts
On call / Call back: N/A
Weekend / Holiday: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule, every other holiday
Certifications: current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
Minimum experience: 2 years RN experience, 1 full year stepdown experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience
Charting: recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)

Patient Population

Cardiac (post cath stents/interventions, pacers), CIWA/BH, Sepsis, DKA, CVA, CPAP, feeding tubes, crani POD 2, GI bleeds, hypothermic/bear hugger.

Skill Set

Required: Tele/12‑lead EKG interpretation (travelers required to pass tele tests), initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, etc.), post‑surgical assessment/care, NIHSS/neuro assessments/dysphagia screen
Preferred: Stable home vents, PleurX drain/pericardial drains, lumber drains, VP shunts, Narcan drips; strong assessment and critical thinking skills, hard worker, resilient, manages change well, social candidates.
