American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric OR RN to support a busy pediatric operating room in Baltimore, MD. The role requires circulating and scrubbing skills, Epic EMR experience, and an MD or compact RN license. Expect 10-hour days, 40 hours per week, with on-call coverage for evenings and weekends.

Start date is 12/22/2025 for a 13-week travel assignment with potential bonuses and per diems. Local candidates are welcome on the same terms.

Qualifications

• Active MD or compact RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years OR experience with pediatric OR.
• Circulating and scrubbing experience in the OR.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Robotics experience is a plus.

• Care for pediatric patients in the operating room as circulator and scrub nurse.
• Support a wide range of pediatric surgical cases including cardiac, neuro, ortho, plastics, GYN, ENT, ophthalmology and trauma.
• Work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with some 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM days and a rotational day off.
• Participate in on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays when the OR is closed.
• Document in Epic EMR for both circulating and scrub roles.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Pediatric Operating Room setting
• Cares for pediatric patients requiring a full range of surgical services, including cardiac, neuro, ortho, plastics, GYN, ENT, ophthalmology, trauma, and general surgery cases
• Day shifts are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday through Friday), with Thursdays 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM and a rotational day off
• Will participate in on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays when the OR is closed, primarily for emergency cases
• No block or set schedules are offered for this role
• Uses Epic EMR for documentation in both circulating and scrub roles
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate except where specific facility rules apply
• Provides operating room care as both circulator and scrub nurse for diverse pediatric surgical cases
• On-call duties involve covering emergency surgeries during evenings, nights, and weekends
• Rotational day off ensures variety in scheduling

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification is required
• Minimum of 3 years of OR experience with recent pediatric OR experience
• Must have circulating and scrubbing experience in the OR
• Experience in facilities with 500+ bed counts is required
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Robotics experience is a plus
