Cross Country Nurses is seeking a Travel RN for the PCU – Progressive Care Unit in Marshfield, WI. This assignment covers 13 weeks with 48 hours per week, nights, and 12-hour shifts.

Job Summary

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Nights Location: unspecified. This role involves providing patient care within a specialized medical unit focusing on neuro and trauma-related diagnoses. The RN will also participate in patient monitoring, drip titration, and unit-specific procedures, ensuring high-quality care for a variety of complex cases.

Job Details

• Certifications Required: BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS; Additionally, candidates must have at least 2 years of experience working in medical-surgical, progressive care, or intensive care units, with recent practice within the last year.
• Experience or 'Must have' skills: Trachs and ventilator experience are highly preferred, along with the ability to work with drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Insulin, and 3%.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional responsibilities include unit-specific orientation (one general shift and one preceptor shift), self-scheduling with management support, and working every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as 2-3 holidays during winter.
• The RN will be responsible for reading their own telemetry strips in a multi-specialty unit that includes mixed care, cardiac, ortho, hematology/oncology, and general patient populations.
• Must be willing to train on ventilator management if necessary; open to first-time travelers.
• Candidates must have a valid license to submit and be willing to clock in/out at the facility.
