Shift: 3x12 hr nights | Start Date: 07/07/2025 | Duration: 13 weeks | Pay: $2019/week

MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified agency, is seeking a qualified PCU / Step-down Nurse for a travel assignment with a top healthcare client.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications
• At least 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU / Step-down setting
• Additional requirements as determined by the client facility
• Weekly pay with direct deposit

Duties & Responsibilities

Progressive Care Nurses (PCU) care for patients requiring close monitoring and assessment, but who aren't unstable enough for ICU care. They monitor cardiac and critical vital signs, detect changes, and enable interventions for emergencies. Many patients receive complex medications requiring titration based on vital signs. PCU nurses are also called step-down nurses, and the unit is known as cardiac, medical, neuro, surgical step-down, or ER holding.
