Job Summary

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Madison, Wisconsin. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by following established nursing care plans, performing assessments, and coordinating patient safety and education initiatives. This role involves supervising nursing staff and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Shift Schedule

Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (CIRH only), at least 2 years of bedside clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting.

Additional Information

Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, ensures timely documentation, and participates in patient education and discharge planning. Provides supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, delegates responsibilities appropriately, and contributes to a positive work environment through team-building activities. Maintains communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs. May assume charge responsibilities following orientation and actively pursues professional development.

Pay Package

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
