Job summary

Health Saviours is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for a PCU assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. The 15-bed unit covers progressive care with telemetry, step-down ICU considerations, and rotating 12-hour shifts.

This travel role starts 10/26/2026 for 13 weeks with a 36-hour work week and no guaranteed hours. The nurse will perform primary nursing duties, telemetry monitoring, strip readings, fingerstick checks, and medication administration using Meditech and Pyxis systems.

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii State RN License.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required.
• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience in the last year; progressive care/telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primary nursing care and patient assessment.
• Telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading.
• Medication administration and charting.
• Float to other acute units as needed (in-house).

Job Description:

Progressive Care Unit.

15 bed unit. 3 Step down ICU; 12 telemetry. 1:4 for Progressive Care; 1:3 for Step down ICU

Shift or schedule requirements.

Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours. no Call.

General job duties. Types of procedures required.

Primary Nursing care, Telemetry monitoring, Telemetry strip reading, Fingerstick blood sugar.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.

Meditech charting, Pyxis for medications, BIPAP, Continuous cardiac monitoring

Required skills and minimum years of experience.

At least 1 year hospital acute care within the last year. Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.

Active Hawaii State RN License

BLS

ACLS

PALS

NIHSS certification.

Floating to other units/departments.

Yes, will float to all acute units in house. Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU and ER possible
