Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN for the PCU - Progressive Care Unit in Torrance, California. This assignment runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts.

The Progressive Care Unit RN provides bedside care to telemetry patients, performs clinical judgments, and collaborates with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes. Must hold an active RN license and CPR, with 1 year progressive care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred with one year progressive care unit experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to telemetry/progressive care patients in the PCU.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and critical thinking in patient care delivery.
• Coordinate with the care team to ensure safe, effective nursing care.
• Perform nursing standards and maintain patient care accountability.
