Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU – Post Anesthesia Care for a Minneapolis, Minnesota assignment. The RN will provide holistic care to patients recovering from anesthesia, with emphasis on safety, assessment and early intervention in an acute care setting.

Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and supervision responsibilities are included. The role requires PACU and critical care experience, travel background, Epic EMR proficiency, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

• Two years of critical care in ICU or ED.
• Two years of PACU experience.
• Prior travel experience.
• Epic electronic medical record experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Trauma Level I experience.
• Minnesota license.
• Current skills checklist within 1 year.
• Two supervisory references with dates.
• Must have worked for Cross Country Nurses before.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

PACU Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care, Post Anesthesia Care Unit. This position is located in an acute care setting. The RN will provide holistic, expert care to customers recovering from anesthesia, with a focus on patient safety, assessment, and early intervention. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, delegation of activities, and adherence to standards of patient care across diverse patient populations including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Job Details

Schedule: Rotating shift; 8 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Two years of critical care experience in ICU or emergency department;
• Two years of PACU experience;
• Prior travel experience;
• Epic electronic medical record experience;
• Current certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross;
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms;
• Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations;
• Trauma Level I experience;
• Minnesota license;
• Current skills checklist pertinent to the specialty, current within 1 year;
• Two supervisory references with employment dates listed;
• Candidate must have work history that includes prior employment with the organization.

Additional Information

Variation of duties based on assigned care units, including differences in clinical skills expected of the RN.
