Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse is needed in a healthcare setting for a temporary assignment starting on September 27, 2026. This role involves providing post-operative patient care within the PACU environment, with an emphasis on timely, efficient, and team-oriented patient management. The assignment offers an opportunity for experienced PACU nurses to contribute to a dynamic clinical team.

Job Details

Schedule: 10-hour evening shifts, starting at 11:00 AM and ending at 9:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications: IL Licensed Registered Nurse (RN), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), 3+ years of solid core staff experience in an acute care setting, at least 2 successful travel contracts, submission of an updated resume demonstrating these qualifications, two references including at least one from a recent travel PACU assignment within the last year, an updated skills checklist, and active IL licensure along with CPR and ACLS certifications.

Preferred Qualifications: Contract extensions are considered a plus.

Float: PACU float within the department is required.

Additional Information: Candidate must be punctual, prepared at the start of each shift, and demonstrate a positive team attitude. Tardiness is unacceptable; flexibility in assisting with department coverage is essential. The role involves pre-operative, post-operative, and Phase 1 PACU responsibilities. The nurse will be expected to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
