WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. This travel assignment runs for 10 weeks with 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week, starting ASAP.

Required credentials include RN license, ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications, along with a nursing degree. Graduate of an accredited school; associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred. Tax-free stipend may be determined.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in OR or similar setting.
• Current RN License is required.
• ACLS Certification – Required.
• BLS Certification – Required.
• NRP Certification – Required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree – Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient assessments.
• Deliver competent perioperative nursing care and emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation per HIPAA guidelines.
• Promote patient and family-centred care within the care team.
• Ensure patient safety with National Patient Safety Goals and proper transfer techniques.
• Provide perioperative care and assess reactions to procedures.
• Contribute to the surgical team and adapt care to changing conditions.
• Engage patients and families in pre- and post-operative education.
• Support timely completion of tests and review PAT orders for appropriateness.
