**Details**

+ $1,700- $2,769 Weekly Rate

+ Department: Associate Travel Program - Surgical Services

+ Schedule: Multiple shifts, 40 hours per week

+ Hospital: Multiple acute care hospitals

+ Location: Local and national travel options are available depending on need.

This position is a permanent, full-time role consisting of 13-week travel assignments, not a short-term or temporary contract. Rates vary by location and specialty.

**Responsibilities**

  • Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
  • Perform scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies.
  • Perform circulating functions, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
  • Assist operating physicians with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
  • Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, accepted by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Registered Nurse license required prior to hire or transfer.
  • Must have a compact RN license or a state RN license relevant to the assignment location before starting.
Education:
  • Diploma from an accredited nursing school/college required.
Work Experience:
  • Minimum of one year RN experience in an acute care setting required.

**Additional Preferences**

  • Recent (within one year) experience in Surgical Services as a Circulating or Scrub RN preferred.
  • Local and national travel options are available depending on need. Candidates eligible for stipends if over 50 miles from their residence. Contact Recruitment for details.
