Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Baltimore, Maryland. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing care in the Neuro ICU, following the nursing process and hospital policies.

The position is 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week and 12-hour shifts. Travel RN candidates should hold an active RN license for the state, BLS/ACLS/PALS as required, and have the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license for the state of Maryland or privilege to practice there.
• Basic life support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS per facility or contract.
• Minimum one year Neuro ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psycho-social changes in the patient’s condition.
• Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and hospital policies.
• Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
• Compares expected and actual outcomes of care and identifies deviation from the plan of care.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the nursing process.
• Minimum of one year Neuro ICU (RN) experience within the last three years preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS card (per facility or contract requirement.
• Successful completion of the Amergis screening for the clinical specialty area(s) in which the RN practices
