American Traveler is seeking an experienced Neuro ICU RN for a travel assignment in Baltimore, Maryland. The position requires an active RN license, BLS, and at least two years of neuro critical care experience.

Shifts are 12 hours with rotating days and nights. The assignment is 13 weeks long with three weekends per schedule and two on-call shifts per six weeks. Epic EMR experience is required, and ACLS/trauma training is preferred.

• Minimum two years of neuro critical care nursing experience
• Experience in a hospital with 500+ bed capacity
• Epic EMR experience required
• ACLS and trauma course preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide care in Neuro ICU within a hospital setting
• Care for patients with neuro critical conditions including brain injuries and strokes
• Rotate 12-hour shifts, days and nights
• Work three weekends out of six
• On-call shifts twice per six-week schedule
• Floating to ICUs or IMCs with related skills
• Interface between brain and other organ systems
• Collaborate with team with orientation on 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
• Holiday coverage as needed
• First-time travelers welcome
• Local candidates may be considered with facility restrictions

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring a MD or compact RN license, BLS, and at least two years of neuro critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Neuro Critical Care Unit (Neuro ICU) within a hospital setting
• Care for patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and post-operative neurosurgical cases
• Rotating 12-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights
• Three out of six weekends required per schedule
• Two on-call shifts per six-week schedule
• Floating required to ICUs or IMCs with similar skill sets
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Provide specialized care to neurologically complex patients including those recovering from neurosurgical procedures
• Must be able to effectively interface between brain and other vital organ systems
• Team-oriented environment with orientation offered on the 2nd and 4th Monday each month
• Holiday coverage is required as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
