Job description

Extremely busy Cardiac ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY office in Davie, FL.

This candidate has a keen interest in cardiology, who would like to gain clinical experience in cardiac management from a prominent Electrophysiologist.

MUST KNOW ECLINICAL WORKS

We need an EXPERIENCED BILINGUAL (English/Spanish) MA.

Hours are:

8:30 am-5:00 pm Monday-Friday or only Tues-Wed-Thurs (P/T).

Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Front and Back office experience
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique. Position may require surgical assisting for minor procedures.
  • Screening and consenting study patients.
  • Consenting patients for remote monitoring of Pacemakers, Defibrillators, and Loop recorders.
  • Perform EKGs.
  • Hook up and/or order HOLTER/CEM/MCOT heart monitors.
  • Obtain vitals.
  • Phlebotomy a plus.
  • Refill prescriptions, prior authorization.
  • Obtaining/Maintaining Patient Medical Records (knowledge of HIPAA compliance).
  • Updating Patient Files.
  • Prepare charts for patient appointments (proper documentation will include procedures performed, medical history, medications, allergies, etc. MEDICATION RECONCILIATION).
  • Insurance verification/Obtaining referrals/authorizations for cardiac monitors and Rx’s.
  • Check In/Check Out patients.
  • Appointment scheduling.
  • Answering multi-line phone system, helping patients with medical questions.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ability to manage HIPAA and OSHA documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years experience in Medical Assisting.
  • Please provide 3 professional references.
  • Must agree to drug testing, background check, and LIVESCAN.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
