Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in LTAC, Acute Rehab, or Critical Care.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Must work 5 shifts a month and floating between LTAC & IRF units may be required.
  • Conduct patient assessments and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure continuity of care.

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Local Shift RN - Med/Surg

Shift: Variable D/E, 6:45a-3:15p/2:45p-11:15p/7a-7:30p, 8x1/12x1, 8/12 hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

Must be open to weekends.

Requirements

  • WA license
  • 1+ year experience in LTAC required (may accept Acute Rehab & Telemetry or Critical Care, CCU/Step-Down experience at facility discretion.)
  • Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • Tele experience preferred
  • Vents experience preferred

MUST WORK 5 SHIFTS A MONTH-- This is a hard requirement

INTRO: In-Patient Rehab; Acute Care Hospital.

RATIOS: Days: 1:5-6 | Nights: 1:8-10 | plus 4-5 Aides

Certification & Experience Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Massachusetts.
  • BLS (AHA) required.
  • ACLS (AHA) preferred.
  • 1+ year experience in LTAC required (may accept Acute Rehab & Telemetry or Critical Care, CCU/Step-Down experience at facility discretion.)
  • Tele experience preferred.
  • Vents experience preferred.
  • Must be open to floating between LTAC & IRF Units at the facility location which provide Acute Care and Intensive Rehabilitation.
  • Must be open to working weekends.
  • Covid Vaccination is required (2 primary PLUS most recent booster). Declination/exemption are accepted for medical, religious, or personal reasons. Mask must be worn at all times on the 2nd floor if Covid and/or Flu vaccination requirements are not met or if a declination is provided.
  • Flu vaccination is required for the most recent flu season. Declination/exemption are accepted for medical, religious, or personal reasons. Mask must be worn at all times on the 2nd floor if Covid and/or Flu vaccination requirements are not met or if a declination is provided.
  • References: 2 Clinical references from leadership/supervisor level (Charge Nurse, Manager, Supervisor, etc.) required from work history within the last year. Both must be submitted at the time of submission as the facility will review the applicants.
  • TB, Varicella, MMR (at least one)

INTERVIEW CALLS: Facility MAY conduct a quick interview call after reviewing the application and credentials. NOTE: Clinician must provide availability options for 2-3 dates/times for an interview call at the time of submittal to the job.

Orientation Details

No formal orientation, however the clinicians will attend 2 Shadow-Shift Days before being flipped to PDW status. Clinician to provide availability for these two days to the Compliance Team once they are cleared.

MODULES: None required.

START DATE: AS SOON AS COMPLIANT.

SHIFT DETAILS: 8 and 12-hour shifts. Days/Nights vary. Must be open to weekends.

8-Hour Shifts

Days: 6:45a-3:15p

Mids: 2:45p-11:15p

12-Hour Shifts

Days: 7a-7:30p

Additional Details

  • Separation period for past employees is 1 year.
  • Commute time 1 hour or less.
  • EMR Charting System = WellSky – Experience preferred, but will train.
  • Medication Dispensing System = MedDispense – Experience preferred, but will train.
  • Scrub Color = Any solid or printed color scrubs are okay (no logos). A uniform jacket is allowed as long as no logos. Closed toe shoes/sneakers are fine. No facial piercings (lip, eyebrow, tongue, etc.) are allowed, however a small nose stud is fine. No visible tattoos above the neck. Due to privacy issues, no cell phones are allowed while working on the units. Must be left in locker or vehicle. Smart watches are okay to wear.
  • Badging = Bring Aya Badge. Facility badge will be issued a badge on first day.
  • Parking = No parking fees in facility parking lot.
