Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment in Marion, IL. The unit is 36 beds with 1:5 staffing, and 12-hour day shifts. Start date is 10/23/2026; active IL RN license and BLS required; 2+ years Med/Surg experience; EPIC charting is required.

There are no local candidates within 40 miles; travel status includes guaranteed hours, weekly pay and comprehensive benefits through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license (or active IL temp license) is required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• No local candidates within 40 miles.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a 36-bed Med/Surg/Ortho unit.
• Collaborate with ED/ICU as needed for medical holds.
• Document in EPIC and coordinate with care teams.

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Marion, Illinois.

Required Certs: Active IL RN License (will accept an active temp IL License), AHA BLS

Minimum Experience: 2 years Med/Surg

Float Requirements: to ED/ICU to take care of Medical holds only

On Call/Call Back Requirements: no

Weekend/Holiday Requirements: every other weekend/ holidays as needed.

Charting Experience Required: EPIC required

Required Skillset: confident, independent RN

Unit Information: 36 bed med/surg/ortho unit. Ratios are 1:5 with a CNA, but also can be 1:4 primary care in the event a CNA calls in or staffing issues
