Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Days Shift 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026. This full-time position involves providing compassionate patient care on a 30-bed medical-surgical unit. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services, including IV starts, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation, in a family-oriented environment with supportive leadership.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour days shifts, 36 hours per week, from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, experience with IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation; no minimum years of experience required for the position
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex wound care and advanced cardiac monitoring skills
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required between 2 North and 2 West units
• Additional Information:
  • The unit utilizes wound vacs, heparin gtts, suction devices, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanners, feeding pumps, and telemetry for monitoring patients
  • Documentation is completed using the editech system
  • Clinical staff provides positive patient and family interactions, service recovery, and escalates issues through the chain of command
  • Staff is expected to adhere to navy scrubs as the required uniform, with no fleece or sweatshirts permitted
  • The unit fosters a family environment, with visible leadership, flexible scheduling options, and a focus on staff development
