Job Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex, under general supervision.
• Documents patient responses to interventions and treatments, noting all changes in physician orders.
• Assists physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitors physiological data, observes patient conditions, and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medications, manages IV infusions, and blood products.
• Delivers competent patient care and communicates effectively with patients and families about care plans and procedures.
• Refers patient care needs to appropriate personnel and delegates tasks to support staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN license (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS if caring for Step Down patients.
• Additional skills include good communication, organizational abilities, computer skills, and cultural competence.
