Job Title: Registered Nurse Post Acute LTC Experience:

Job Summary

The RN/LPN partners with residents and other care providers to ensure a safe, therapeutic, and comfortable environment by delivering both direct and indirect nursing care.

Available Units

3 East – Memory Care Unit

• 31-bed specialized unit focused on residents with Alzheimer’s/dementia.
• Emphasis on using both verbal and non-verbal communication.
• Understanding and appropriately responding to behaviors associated with dementia as valid forms of communication.
• Provides long-term care in a home-like setting.

Transitional Rehabilitation Unit (TRU)

• 42-bed unit located on the second floor of d'Youville Pavilion.
• Short-term, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.
• Patient population includes individuals recovering from fractures, joint replacements, stroke, back surgeries, and other acute conditions.
• Services may include IV therapy, wound care, geriatric assessment, and management.

3 West – Long-Term Care Unit

• 42-bed unit providing care for residents requiring long-term placement.
• Designed to maintain a home-like environment for ongoing care needs.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.

Licensure:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine or compact state required.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a care team environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Flexibility to provide 24/7 coverage as needed.
• Must be willing and able to float to other units.

Substitution Clause:

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered in place of stated requirements.
