HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel assignment in Thousand Oaks, California. The role requires caring for laboring mothers, managing fetal monitoring, and supporting cesarean and vaginal deliveries within a high-acuity obstetric unit.

The position is 36 hours weekly, with 12-hour night shifts, for a 13-week duration. Candidates should have obstetric experience and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have active RN license and relevant obstetric experience.
• 2 years of RN obstetrics experience required.
• Fetal monitoring proficiency required.
• BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring patients including CS and vaginal delivery.
• Monitor fetal status and perform required assessments.
• Collaborate with obstetric team to support mother and newborn.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols.

• Number of Staff – 43
• Type of staff:
  • Director/ Manager
  • Day Shift – 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator or Charge RN, 4-5 RNs, 1 Meal Break RN, Ob Tech, Unit Assistant
  • Night Shift – Same.
• Patient Ratios – 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
• Type of equipment – Hospital beds, GE Novii and wired fetal monitors, OR equipment
• EMR – CPN/Meditech

Must have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• C-Section Circulator and Post CS recovery
• Vaginal Exams
• Care of the laboring patient, including CS and Vaginal delivery and recovery
• Care of the high-risk antepartum patient
