American Traveler is seeking an experienced Travel RN in Labor & Delivery for a High-Risk unit in Augusta, Georgia. Start 01/05/2026 for a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week across 12-hour day shifts.

Requirements include GA RN license (or multi-state), BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring, plus at least two years of high-risk L&D experience. Travel benefits and stipends provided.

• Minimum two years’ experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and OBED patients.
• Maintain patient ratios (1:1–2 in L&D; 1:4–6 in postpartum/antepartum) based on acuity.
• Operate Epic EMR, Obix monitoring, Omnicell, and L&D/fetal monitoring equipment.
• Deliver comprehensive care during labor and immediate postpartum and respond to emergencies.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a High-Risk Labor & Delivery position requiring at least two years of high-risk L&D experience and multiple certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery and perinatal hospital unit
• Handles laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and OBED patients
• Patient ratio is 1:1-2 in L&D and 1:4-6 in postpartum/antepartum based on acuity
• Uses Epic EMR, Obix monitoring, Omnicell, and specialized L&D and fetal monitoring equipment
• Shifts are 12 hours, with both day and night shifts available (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-07:30)
• Weekends are required and no call is required
• Opportunity to train and float to OBED for RNs with at least two years of high-risk L&D experience
• Unit consists of 12 L&D beds, 16 postpartum/antepartum beds, and 4 OBED beds
• OR scrubs are provided on the unit
• Provide and document comprehensive care for women during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum
• Monitor maternal and fetal health and respond quickly to emergencies
• Collaborate closely with OB residents, attendings, and the healthcare team
• Complete a three-day, preceptor-based orientation and L&D-specific computer modules
• Must complete orientation competency checklist and Accucheck competency
• Adhere to established protocols and team nursing practices to ensure safe care
• Dress code requires use of provided OR scrubs
• Two-week notice may be given for assignment completion

Requirements
