Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor And Delivery

Location: Charlotte, NC (onsite)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Work Hours: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Total Weekly Hours: 36

Note: RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly lead to cancellation and DNR.

Required Skills / Certifications / Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Experience in labor and delivery with LDRP or couplet care
• Experience in Mother/Baby, circulating in OR for C/S, and recovery in PACU
• Skills include IV start, circulate, telemetry, sterile speculum exam, NST, OCT, fetal monitoring, medication administration, postpartum and neonatal care, pain management, and more
• Certifications: AWHONN Beginner/Intermediate, BCLS, FHM & NRP

Preferred Skills / Certifications / Experience

• Additional certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced
• Additional skills: Triage

Job Details

• Target Ratios: L&D 1:1-2, Couplet care 1:3
• Unit accepts 13-week contracts
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 18:45 - 07:15
• Call requirement: may be required if low census
• Weekend shifts: 8 per contract
• Unit has 8 LDRP rooms, 3 observation rooms, and 3 triage rooms
• Special procedures include high risk delivery, C-section, use of fetal monitoring, neonatal care, postpartum care, and more

Additional Information

All necessary equipment is available. The unit uses Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems. Orientation includes 24 hours plus additional shifts. Scrubs are provided. Candidates should provide their interview availability within 72 hours.
