United Staffing Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in South Charleston, West Virginia.
Job Description & RequirementsUnit: ICU, 18 beds (expanding to 27 beds)
Shift: Three 12-hour shifts/week, night shift, every other weekend, rotate major holidays
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (PALS preferred)
Experience: 2+ years ICU experience, CRRT and IABP preferred, travel experience required
Unit Information:
Patient Ratios: 1:2, sometimes 1:3 in overflow/PCU downgrade
Common Diagnoses: Sepsis, Acute MI, Renal patients, Post vascular procedures, Strokes, TIA, Seizures
Drips: Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin
Charting: EPIC
No tele techs, RNs read strips
Additional Info:
Floating: Required to Stepdown or Med-Surg/Telemetry as needed
Scrub Color: Navy for RNs
Orientation: General hospital orientation + 2, 12-hour shifts with preceptor
