Travel Nurse Across America Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wellsville, New York.

Job Description & Requirements

We're looking for ICU RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Wellsville, NY. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. Responsibilities include evaluating and monitoring patients, providing direct care in life-threatening situations, documenting and providing physician-directed care, assessing and implementing care plans, and delegating tasks. Additionally, providing education and support to patient families may be required.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing basic bedside care
  • Preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications
  • Ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests
  • Taking samples for lab work and interpreting reports
  • Monitoring and adjusting specialized equipment
  • Ensuring proper placement of medical devices
  • Communicating patient conditions to families

Physical requirements include standing and walking for long periods, bending, leaning, stooping, and lifting up to 20 pounds easily, with occasional patient lifting up to 50 pounds. Candidates may face hazards from chemicals or infectious diseases and may work with confused or uncooperative patients.

Minimum Requirements:
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH certifications
  • 2 years of experience
  • Additional certifications may be required prior to starting
