Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments; notes changes in physician orders.
• Assists physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes as necessary.
• Administers prescribed medications, manages IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers competent patient care and interacts with patients and families about care plans and procedures.
• Makes referrals to appropriate personnel for patient care needs.
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact license.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience in ICU preferred.
