Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU for a travel assignment in Louisville, Kentucky. The assignment covers a 24‑bed CCU/ICU with both ICU and Stepdown care in a high acuity setting.

Start date 10/26/2026 for 13 weeks, 36 hours weekly on 12‑hour days. Requirements include 2+ years ICU experience, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI; ventilators/trachs, CRRT, balloon pumps, Swan-Ganz; Cerner EMR. You may float within scope as needed; holidays per unit needs.

• First-time travelers accepted.

Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Lousiville, Kentucky.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit

• Shift: 12 hours, days
• Employment Type: Travel, Travel CCU/ICU RN
• Unit / Patient Population: 24-bed CCU/ICU, Typically 8-16 ICU patients + ~8 Stepdown patients daily
• Traveler must be comfortable taking both ICU and Stepdown assignments
• Ratios: 1:1-1:3 Cerner EMR
• Requirements: 2+ years experience, First-time travelers accepted, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI
• Strong ICU experience with: Ventilators & trachs, Titrating drips, CRRT, Balloon pumps, Swan-Ganz, Chest tubes, Tube feeds, DKA management
• Patient Acuity / Procedures: Ventilator-dependent critical care, Sepsis, ECMO, CRRT, Post-PCI/cardiac procedures, Pulmonary embolism, Post-thrombectomy & post-stroke patients, Balloon pumps and invasive hemodynamic monitoring, No open thoracic cases
• Schedule: Days: 6:45 AM-7:15 PM, No more than every other weekend, No call, Holidays based on unit needs, Block scheduling considered, RTO requires manager approval, Floating Required to float within scope as needed, May float to PCU, Med/Surg, Tele
• Equipment / Support: Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell, Philips monitors, CRRT, Arctic Sun, Balloon Pump, EKOS, Penumbra & pacers, 24/7 Intensivist, 24/7 dedicated RT, On-site ICU midlevel providers, Charge RN, CNA/PCA, phlebotomy, telemetry tech & HUC support
• Orientation / Additional: Facility orientation + 1-2 unit shifts, Galaxy Blue scrubs, Free parking
