Travel Nurse Across America Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri.

We're looking for ICU RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Saint Louis, MO. The right nurse should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. ICU RNs evaluate and monitor patients in an ICU setting, providing direct care in life-threatening situations, documenting and executing physician-directed care, assessing and implementing care plans, and delegating tasks. They also educate and support patient families, especially for long-term care needs.

Responsibilities include:
  • Provide basic bedside care
  • Administer and record prescribed medications, report adverse reactions
  • Order and evaluate diagnostic tests
  • Collect samples, order labs, interpret reports
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret electronic displays
  • Ensure proper placement and functioning of medical devices
  • Communicate patient conditions to families

Physical requirements include standing and walking for long periods, bending, leaning, lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to potential hazards. RNs should be prepared for challenging patient behaviors.

Requirements:
  • ACLS, BLS certification
  • 2 years of experience
  • Additional certifications may be required prior to start
