Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN for an ICU assignment in Tyler, Texas. The 13-week travel contract requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts in a high-acuity ICU.

You will care for adult and geriatric patients, manage ventilators and arterial lines, and perform complex critical care procedures. ACLS/BLS, NIHSS or PALS, and a current RN license are required; two years ICU experience preferred.

Job Summary: The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) specialty position is located in a healthcare facility providing specialized critical care for adult and geriatric patients. The role involves managing a high-acuity patient population in a Medical-Surgical ICU setting, with a focus on advanced procedures and critical patient management. The position offers a challenging environment for experienced ICU professionals seeking to expand their expertise in a fast-paced unit.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state or compact license, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Two years of ICU experience preferred, with experience managing ports, administering chemotherapy, arterial line management, ventilator care, central line care, neuro ICU procedures, and other specialized skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in Trauma Level I or II units, community hospital experience, and travel experience preferred.
• Additional Information: The role involves supervising and managing patients with multisystem organ failure, performing complex procedures such as ECMO, CVVHD/CRRT, TAVR, and managing neuro and cardiac surgical patients. Candidates must complete onboarding modules within 48 hours of contract signing.
• Travel Experience Required: Yes.
• Patient Ratios: Night shift patient ratio of 2:1.

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
