Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position available in a medical-surgical intensive care setting. The role involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on advanced patient monitoring, procedures, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. This position requires a dynamic caregiver capable of managing complex patient cases within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum commitment of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state or compact license in hand; current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); two years of ICU experience preferred; experience with charting using Epic; experience with community hospital settings and travel healthcare preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience; prior ICU experience including trauma level I and II, neuro ICU, or surgical ICU; proficiency in managing invasive procedures such as arterial lines, chest tube insertions, and ventilator management; experience with complex patient populations.
• Additional Information: The critical care unit serves adult and geriatric patients, with a daily census of approximately 14. Patient care involves managing multisystem organ failure, post-surgical, and trauma cases. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams. Must complete onboarding modules and labs within 48 hours of contract signing; applicable to all travelers, with onsite orientation required.
