Job Summary

A Travel Medical‑Surgical Float RN supports General Medical‑Surgical Inpatient Nursing Unit needs, including general medical‑surgical nursing duties with occasional non‑critical pediatric patients on the floor. The position involves working day shifts with float coverage and may include call requirements based on census needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Schedule

Days (6:30a‑7p); 12 shift hours; minimum 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• 2+ years of experience in medical‑surgical nursing
• Active license required (to be brought on the first day)

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Additional Information

• Float coverage and call may be required. For Medical‑Surgical, there is not an on‑call schedule; call is limited to a census flex on call prior to the start of the scheduled shift if census is low.
• Fingerprints are required for all New Mexico travelers. The healthcare provider requests submission only if the candidate’s agency is registered with the state of New Mexico, as the process can take several weeks.
