Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks an experienced EP Lab RN for a travel assignment in Springfield, Illinois. The RN will support the electrophysiology lab team, assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic heart rhythm procedures and ensuring equipment readiness.

Ideal candidates have EP lab experience and appropriate certifications; travel nurses will work 10-hour day shifts on a 26-week assignment with a tax-free stipend and weekly pay through TotalMed RN.

We're looking for Registered Nurses (RN) for an immediate travel opening in Springfield, IL for our Electrophysiology(EP) Lab.

The right RN should have at least 1 year of experience in an EP Lab setting. Read below for more details.

As an EP Lab RN, you'll work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in the EP lab providing assistance to the physician, including maintaining and monitoring of equipment, as well as assisting with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

As an EP Lab Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Learn complex technologies effectively
• Assist physicians with procedures that diagnose and treat heart rhythm problems
• Assist with ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, cardioversions, loop recorder implants and more
• Assist with diagnostic studies such as cardiac mapping and EP studies

EP Lab Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, EP Lab Travel Nurses must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
