Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions CHS is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Electrophysiology Lab in Tucson, Arizona for a 13-week assignment. Schedule: 48 hours per week, 12-hour days.

Travel Nurses must have an AZ RN license (or compact), ACLS and BLS; call requirements include weekends and vary by shift. Candidates should have experience in EP-related areas as applicable.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in AZ or a compact state.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Travel RN experience in EP lab or related areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients to the unit and coordinate care.
• Prep patients for Cath procedures (checklists, IV, access).
• Prep patients for Cardioversions and TEE.
• Recover patients after Cath with sedation.
• Sedate, circulate, and document bedside procedures (CV & TEE).
• Discharge patients with teaching and follow-up instructions.

SHIFT INFO: Varies: 3 x 12s: Days (0600-1830, 0700-1930, 0800-2030)

Call requirements have begun and now include Saturday and Sunday.

• Call is on a rotational basis, approximately once every six weeks. But may be a frequent as once every 4 weeks.
• Call includes Saturday from 0700-1700 and Sunday from 0700-1400

MUST HAVE:

RN-AZ or compact state license ACLS BLS

Will consider experience in the following areas on a case-by-case basis

PACU - ICU - TELEMETRY - CATH LAB - SURGERY CENTER

Description:

• Admit patients
• Prep patients for Cath procedures (charting pre procedure checklist, IV start, access preparation)
• Prep patients for Cardioversions (CV),and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Recover patients following Cath who had conscious sedation
• Sedate, Circulate, and document bedside procedures; CV & TEE
• Discharge patients (teaching, documentation, and physical discharge) Travelers must show proof of residence greater than 50 miles from facility
  & have not worked perm. Staff for CHS with in the last 12months
