Job Summary

Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Specialist Oak Lawn, Illinois. The operating room team member in the open‑heart/surgical room setting supports advanced surgical procedures and hybrid room cases, including adult and pediatric volumes as described for the assignment. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days; shift time options include 06:45–15:15, 14:45–19:15, and 22:45–07:15; rotation schedule with weekend rotation every 4th weekend (Sat–Sun); minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to scrub and circulate for applicable cases.
  • 23 years of acute care experience (or 3 years of hybrid experience if Hybrid IR Tech).
  • Electronic Health Record (EPIC) experience required; EPIC super‑user considered.
  • Experience with adult or pediatric open‑heart cases and/or hybrid patient types as applicable.
  • Ability to meet role‑specific responsibilities for Surgical Assist and Surgical Tech duties.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical care experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Approximately 6,075 cases per day; hybrid room cases include 510 cases per day depending on scheduling, with adult cases only.
  • Hybrid room case types may include TAVR, AAA, endarterectomies, angiograms, and fistula revisions.
  • Includes 20% pediatric open‑heart cases; excludes liver or lung transplants.
  • Holiday coverage required; on‑call participation depends on shifts/service line with 30‑minute response time.
  • Sleeper room available for on‑call team member.
  • Scrub color provided.

Pay Package
