Job Summary

The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with ICU Cardiovascular (ICU OHS?) specialty experience in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing dedicated care within a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) that specializes in cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplants, and complex cardiovascular medical conditions. Candidates must have a Wisconsin RN license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details

• Location: Madison, WI

• Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts, rotating between 0700-1930 and 1900-0730, with some holidays; day/night rotations
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, minimum
• Required Qualifications: Two years of recent acute care experience in ICU, CVICU experience, experience with cardiothoracic surgery or other acuity‑adaptable areas preferred, Wisconsin RN license, AHA BLS and ACLS certifications, minimum two years of inpatient ICU experience within last three years, proficiency in Epic EMR, ability to pass telemetry interpretation exam within two attempts, Basic Arrhythmia experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with specialized cardiovascular monitoring and procedures, including management of ports, arterial lines, chest tubes, ventilator management, and multiple cardiac devices.
• Travel Experience Required: Yes
• Additional Information: Travelers must pass a telemetry interpretation test prior to clearance. Staff assignments may change throughout a shift as patients are transferred or admitted. The unit is dynamic, with frequent procedures and patient transfers requiring technological expertise and team collaboration.
