Core Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Clinical Document Improvement Specialist for a travel nursing job in Rochester, Minnesota.

The role involves performing Normal CDI work with a focus on following up on ICDI reviews, prioritizing reconciliation over new cases, and catching weekend stays across all service lines.

The schedule will include weekends, with options like Thursday through Monday, Friday through Tuesday, or Saturday through Wednesday, depending on staffing needs.

Certifications:

• CCDS OR CDIP required
• And a RHIT, RHIA, RN, CCS, CCS-P, or Medical Degree

The Inpatient Clinical Documentation Integrity (ICDI) Specialist reviews patient records in inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure accurate documentation of severity of illness, proper coding, medical necessity, and clinical status. Responsibilities include identifying documentation gaps, collaborating with healthcare providers, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. The role emphasizes education and process improvement to enhance documentation quality.

This position is 100% remote, allowing work from anywhere within the U.S.

Requirements include at least two years of experience in an ICDI role, recent production experience, and skills in analytical thinking and problem-solving. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with relevant certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, RN, CCS, CCS-P, or a medical degree. Certification as a CDIP or CCDS is also required.
