Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab in Omaha, Nebraska for a 13-week assignment. The role requires circulating during Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures, administering medications and monitoring patients with on-call rotations.

The candidate must have 3+ years in Cardiac Cath Lab/IR, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, with the ability to handle STEMI and other emergencies in a Level II trauma hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Experience with procedural circulation, moderate sedation and medication administration.
• Ability to manage cardiac and IR emergencies, including STEMI stabilization.

Responsibilities

Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.

Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology RN

Setting: Level II Trauma, acute-care hospital
Shift: Eight-hour day shifts plus required call
Department: Combined Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology
Labs: Three
Volume: Approximately 4―5 cases daily
EMR: Epic with Apollo cardiac charting
License: Required at submission
Scrubs: Surgical green

Required Qualifications

• More than 3 years of hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Experience with procedural circulation, moderate sedation and medication administration
• Ability to manage cardiac and IR emergencies, including STEMI stabilization

Call Requirements

• Minimum of 10 weeknight call shifts
• Minimum of two weekend call rotations: one IR and one cardiac
• Holiday call required
• Weekday call coverage: 4:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekend call coverage: 7:30 AM–7:30 AM
• Response time: 30 minutes from IMC and as soon as possible to LKS, MCB and Bergan

Orientation and Scheduling

• One week of departmental orientation
• Includes supervised buddy-call orientation
• Schedule requires supervisor approval
• Supervisor/charge coverage is available
• Three Cath Lab technologists support the department

Important Submission Requirements

• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Driver’s license required at submission to verify distance
• Candidate cannot currently work full-time, part-time or PRN for any CommonSpirit, CHI or Dignity Health facility
• Maximum of seven RTO days per 13-week contract
• All RTO must be disclosed upfront; additional requests will not be approved

Orientation Exam and Policies

• Open-book pass/fail examination occurs Friday during orientation
• A score of at least 90% is required to continue the assignment
• Artificial nails are prohibited and refusal to remove them may result in termination
• The facility provides Landauer radiation-monitoring badges

Cancellation Policy

The hospital may cancel up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment or three shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks.
