Job summary

Life Scan Wellness Centers is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform comprehensive head-to-toe physicals and vision/hearing screenings for firefighters and police officers. The role requires extensive regional and national travel and a strong emphasis on patient education, referrals, and preventive care.

Travel will be regular to designated departments; a professional with clinical leadership, excellent communication, and EMR proficiency will thrive in this position.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS Required
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Strong technical skills to include MS Office, Imaging software and EMR platforms
• Professionalism and compassion a MUST!
• Have own vehicle that can hold and carry needed equipment

Responsibilities

• NP conducts head-to-toe physicals
• Perform vision and hearing screening exams
• Summarize all test results (labs, fitness evaluation and ultrasound) and provide guidance/recommendations on any abnormalities (provide education and referral to PCP if needed – NO diagnosing or treatment)
• Lab interpretation with dietary recommendations
