Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management in Los Alamos, NM seeks compassionate nurses for a 12-hour shift travel assignment of 12 weeks, with renewal option. Competitive pay and housing stipend.

Eligible RNs with $45.00-$50.00/hr and LVNs $35.00-$40.00/hr, must be licensed and have at least 2 years in skilled nursing; new grads welcome and will be trained.

Qualifications

• Licensed LVN in state of practice
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
• Current BLS/CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Ensures delivery of high-quality, positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction during supervisory shift.
• Serves as a resource to all staff regarding the quality of services provided.
• Provide direct resident care when required; administer medications and treatment timely according to facility policy; carry out physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Effectively manages nursing personnel on shift to limit overtime and agency personnel.
• Assesses the work performance of nursing staff against unit standards and goals.
• Conducts regular staff meetings on each shift and provides updates to DON.
