Job summary

Green Key Resources seeks an experienced Travel RN Circulator for a 13-week contract at a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center in San Jose, CA. With 4 operating rooms and about 450 cases monthly, you will stay busy while maintaining high standards of patient care.

The Circulating Nurse will provide direct patient care from prep to recovery, support the OR team, and ensure patient safety. California RN license, CPR/BLS, and OR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active California RN license.
• Current CPR and BLS certification.
• Prior OR experience; ASC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform circulating duties, monitor patient status, and manage nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
• Perform scrub functions and handle instruments used during procedures.
• Assist the physician with hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for each case.
• Serve as the communication link between the OR and the center.
• Follow physician orders and patient safety protocols.

We are seeking an experienced Travel RN Circulator for a 13-week contract at a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center in San Jose, CA. With 4 operating rooms and 1 procedure room, the center averages 450 cases per month across a wide range of specialties, so you will stay busy, keep your skills sharp, and work alongside a team that values efficiency and quality patient care.

About the Role

As the Circulating Nurse, you will provide direct patient care in an ambulatory surgical setting and serve as the key link between the operating room team and the rest of the surgery center. You will take full responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician orders and center policies, from preparation through recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating duties, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient status and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures
• Perform scrub functions, including selecting and handling instruments and supplies used during procedures
• Directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, as well as patient positioning
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for each case
• Serve as the communication link between the OR team and the rest of the surgical center
• Follow all physician orders, center policies, and patient safety protocols

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current, active California RN license
• Current CPR and BLS certificationMinimum of one year of operating room experience
• Ability to both scrub and circulate preferred
• Prior ASC experience is a plus
• Location: San Jose, CA
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
