American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3-5+ years of General NM and PET experience to support a hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department. Responsibilities include performing NM and PET/CT studies, floating between NM and PET for direct and indirect patient care, and handling a high-volume caseload with various scans using GE and Siemens equipment.

Requirements include ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification, applicable license, 3-5+ years of NM/PET experience, and EPIC

Responsibilities

• Operate General NM and PET/CT procedures in a hospital department.
• Float between NM and PET for direct and indirect patient care tasks.
• Manage an average caseload of 10+ NM and 12-14 PET/CT cases per day.
• Perform a wide range of scans including bone, thyroid, DaTscan, FDG PET, and more.
• Utilize GE and Siemens equipment and participate in on-call duties.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3-5+ years of General NM and PET experience to support both direct and indirect patient care at a hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department.

Requirements

• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification required
• License required if applicable
• 3-5+ years of experience in General Nuclear Medicine and PET
• Must be proficient in both General NM and PET modalities
• EPIC experience required

Responsibilities

• Nuclear Medicine department performing both General NM and PET/CT procedures
• Float between NM and PET as needed for direct patient care as well as indirect patient care such as patient reminder calls
• Average caseload of 10+ nuclear medicine cases and 12-14 PET/CT cases per day
• Top procedures include whole body bone scans, lung scans, gastric emptying studies, renal scans, HIDA scans, thyroid uptake and scans, thyroid whole body scans, DaTscan brain scans, lymphoscintigraphy, parathyroid scans, FDG PET, and specialty PET
• Uses GE and Siemens equipment
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call required including one weekday evening (4:30 PM-10 PM) per week and one weekend (Sat/Sun 7 AM-10 PM) per month
• Likely one holiday on-call during the contract
• Call-back primarily for HIDA, GI bleed, brain death, and lung studies
• Perform a mix of general nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures across a high-volume department
• Grey scrubs required
• Does not accept local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• Returning Emory employees must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO requests not falling on or near a holiday are limited to a maximum of 5 days
• RTO requests falling on or near a holiday are limited to a maximum of 3 days
• Only one holiday request is allowed per contract
