Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an immediate opening in Cape Girardeau, MO. The role requires 1 year of NMT experience, ARRT(N) or NMTCB-CNMT, and a valid BLS certificate, with nights and 8-hour shifts.

Responsibilities include radiopharmaceutical preparation, patient positioning, and operating the scanner, while ensuring radiation safety and accurate record-keeping. 40 hours weekly for 20 weeks, travel assignment.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• BLS, ARRT (N) or NMTCB-CNMT certification and state licensure when required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain required approval/signatures from nuclear medicine physicians.
• Transfer, position, and instruct patients for procedures.
• Operate the scanner or gamma camera.
• Perform procedures including radiopharmaceutical injections under radiologist supervision.
• Provide patient assistance during procedures.
• Maintain radiation safety and proper disposal practices.
• Keep accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
