Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment in Framingham, MA. This 13-week travel role requires 40 hours per week and days shift.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT(N) or NMTCB-CNMT, BLS, and state licensing where required. You will operate the scanner and related equipment, prepare patients, and perform procedures under radiologist supervision while maintaining safety and accurate records.

Qualifications

• BLS, ARRT (N) or NMTCB-CNMT certification, and state licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
• Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures
• Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera.
• Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
• Provide assistance to patients during procedures
• Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

We are looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) for an immediate travel opening in Framingham, MA. The right NMT must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As an NMT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
• Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures
• Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera.
• Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
• Provide assistance to patients during procedures
• Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT, and state-specific licensing when required.

NMTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. NMTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
