Description

We're looking for a Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Hackensack, New Jersey, United States.

Pay Rate: $2700 weekly gross

In this role, the successful candidate will perform as a MI SPECT Technologist, conducting examinations to assist in diagnosing patient illnesses and serve as a training resource.

This is a travel role, with assignments lasting 3-12 months, including a weekly per diem in addition to your contract pay.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform MI SPECT diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Locate and record internal body elements, identify anomalies.
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate artifacts.
  • Monitor patients for physical and emotional changes.
  • Evaluate test results for accuracy.
  • Review tests with peers and physicians.
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings.
  • Distribute test results to physicians and providers.
  • Prepare diagnostic information for interpretation.
  • Maintain patient charts, log data, and update systems.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
  • Instruct patients and answer questions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Experience Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical MI SPECT experience
  • Experience with Siemens or GE systems
License/Certification:
  • Valid ARRT (CT) required, ARRT (N) optional
  • NMTCB certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Siemens C.cam systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and professionally
  • Flexibility, reliability, sound judgment, and initiative
