Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist role at Trinity Health is a FirstChoice travel staffing opportunity in Ohio. You will review orders, prepare patients, position for imaging, and work with radiology leadership to obtain quality images.

Role offers flexible scheduling, the possibility to travel nationwide, and premium pay. Located at Mt. Carmel Health System, OH, with 36 hours per week on day shifts and a competitive weekly rate.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• Eighteen (18) months of Nuclear Medicine experience required.
• ARRT-registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Indiana Radiologic License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
• Willingness to float across hospital locations and shifts.
• Cannot hold a concurrent Trinity Health position.

Responsibilities

• Review Physician Order and exam reason, prepare patient, position, and perform Nuclear Medicine imaging.
• Collaborate with Nuclear Medicine leadership and Radiologist to produce diagnostic images per protocols.
• Operate imaging equipment to obtain designated body part images with ALARA techniques.
• Coordinate with unit and FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidence-based care.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities

• The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for reviewing the Physician Order and reason for exam, preparing the patient, positioning, and performing Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients.
• The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works closely with Nuclear Medicine leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the department protocols.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of the designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, with attention to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques.
• Collaborate with members of assigned unit as well as FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced based care within a healing culture for patients as well as families.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• Eighteen (18) months of Nuclear Medicine experience required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as Nuclear Medicine Tech by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State of Indiana Radiologic License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• (Note: American Heart Association certifications only accepted.)
• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
