Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Travel PET/CT Technologist to support our healthcare systems in Durham, NC. This onsite 13-week contract requires a minimum of 2 years PET experience and NMTCB/ARRT(N) certification.

You will prepare radiopharmaceuticals, operate PET/CT, monitor safety, and collaborate with radiologists. Work Mon-Fri, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM, with travel duties and potential extension. Benefits available.

Qualifications

• Active NMTCB/ARRT (N) certification and Nuclear Medicine license.
• BLS required.
• Minimum 2 years PET experience within modality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for PET/CT imaging.
• Operate PET/CT scanners to acquire images.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Verify PET/CT alignment with CT datasets.
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians for accurate interpretation.
• Maintain radiation safety and adheres to regulatory guidelines.
• Perform daily quality control on PET/CT equipment.

About Your Role

As a Travel PET/CT Technologist, you will deliver advanced diagnostic imaging services by combining Positron Emission Tomography (PET) with Computed Tomography (CT) technology. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure accurate image acquisition, patient safety, and diagnostic precision in a variety of clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for PET/CT imaging procedures.
• Operate PET/CT scanners to capture high-quality functional and anatomical images.
• Monitor patients for comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Evaluate image quality and verify alignment between PET and CT datasets.
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to support accurate diagnostic interpretation.
• Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform daily quality control and maintenance on PET/CT equipment.
