Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Travel PET/CT Technologist to provide advanced diagnostic imaging support in Gainesville, VA. The role involves onsite work, coordinating with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure precise image acquisition and patient safety.

You will operate PET/CT scanners, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, monitor patients, and adhere to radiation safety standards, with a 13-week onsite contract and travel requirements.

Qualifications

• Active radiology/medical imaging credentials required.
• ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine is required.
• BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for PET/CT imaging procedures.
• Operate PET/CT scanners to acquire high-quality images.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Ensure accurate alignment of PET and CT datasets for diagnosis.

Requirements

• Active ARRT certification, Nuclear Medicin license
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Must have a minimum of2 yearsexperience in PET/CT within modality

About Your Role

As a Travel PET/CT Technologist, you will deliver advanced diagnostic imaging services by combining Positron Emission Tomography (PET) with Computed Tomography (CT) technology. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure accurate image acquisition, patient safety, and diagnostic precision in a variety of clinical settings.

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for PET/CT imaging procedures.
• Operate PET/CT scanners to capture high-quality functional and anatomical images.
• Monitor patients for comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Evaluate image quality and verify alignment between PET and CT datasets.
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to support accurate diagnostic interpretation.
• Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform daily quality control and maintenance on PET/CT equipment.
