Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a NICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Oakland, CA. Travel NICU RN role offers opportunities to care for critically ill newborns in a busy NICU, with a dedicated clinical team and competitive compensation.

Must have one year of NICU experience, an active RN license in California, and current BLS and NRP certifications. Shift is 12 hours, nights; start date is 11/02/2026.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina to lift/move equipment and patients.
• Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill newborns; document condition changes.
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments per NICU protocols.
• Perform neonatal assessments and vital signs; weight checks and screenings.
• Operate NICU equipment (ventilators, CPAP, infusion pumps).
• Assist with life-saving and diagnostic procedures (umbilical line placement, intubation).
• Educate and support parents on neonatal care and feeding techniques.
