Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel assignment in Plano, Texas. This 13-week, 36-hour-per-week position requires 12-hour nights and 1-2 years of acute care experience.

As a NICU RN, you will care for ill and premature infants, monitor vitals, assist with specialized feeds, IVs, and equipment like incubators and ventilators, while supporting families through the care journey.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• 1 year of acute care experience required.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Care for sick and premature infants in NICU.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action as needed.
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
• Monitor and adjust NICU equipment (incubators, ventilators).
• Assist in round-the-clock patient care and support to families.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and lift 10–20 pounds.
