Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Spokane, Washington. This 13-week assignment starts ASAP and runs 36 hours per week on a nights 12-hour shift.

The NICU RN will provide specialized care to critically ill newborns, operate advanced NICU equipment, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while adhering to hospital standards.

Qualifications

• One year of recent NICU RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and monitors critically ill and premature newborns, identifying changes and documenting conditions and responses.
• Operates and manages advanced NICU equipment, such as ventilators, CPAP machines, and infusion pumps.
• Educates and supports parents on neonatal care, including feeding techniques and developmental care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved neonatal nursing techniques.
• Develops and implements individualized care plans for neonates in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Adheres to infection control measures, including hand hygiene, PPE use, and sterilization protocols.
